Mauser, Daniel:
(June 25, 1983 - April 20,
1999): Daniel was a smart
and outstanding
Sophomore who strived in
academics by excelling in his
mathematics and science
curriculum. He was also an
avid part of the school's debate
and cross-country teams.
Daniel had been named the top
biology student of the Sophomore
class and had won the "Stretch for Excellence" award.
Unfortunately, he
would not learn of this
achievement as he was gunned
down in the school library.
Daniel was shot in the face by
Eric Harris in as he hid under a
table. Daniel was awarded the
"Stretch for Excellence" award
posthumously.

Rohrbough, Daniel:
(March 2, 1984 - April 20,
1999): Daniel was a
energetic and fun young man who
enjoyed computer games and
electronics. He would work after
school helping his father at his
stereo business while also
helping his grandfather on the
farm in his spare time. He was walking
with two friends up the West
Staircase when he along with his
two friends were shot by Eric
Harris and Dylan Klebold. Daniel
managed to get up and stagger down
the staircase; however, he was
approached by Eric Harris who shot
him point-blank
in the chest, killing him.

Sanders,
William 'Dave':
(October 22, 1951 - April 20,
1999): William Sanders was
an aspiring person who taught
business for 25 years and
coached the girls basketball and
softball teams at Columbine High
School. Coach Sanders along with
several other staff members
heroically saved an untold
numbers of lives by redirecting
students out of the cafeteria
and out of the direct path of the
shooters. As Coach Sanders was
telling students to get in and
remain in the classrooms out
of danger, he was shot from
behind by Eric Harris. Coach
Sanders managed to get himself
into a science classroom where
students were taking an exam.
Students administered first aid
and alerted police that their
teacher was badly hurt and
needed medical attention;
however, he
died nearly three hours later
from blood loss from gunshot
wounds to the neck and
torso while waiting for help
that never arrived. His last
words which he told his students
was "Tell my family I love
them." Given his heroic efforts,
he posthumously received the
Arthur Ashe Award for Courage.

Scott, Rachel Joy:
(August 5, 1981 - April 20,
1999): Rachel was a very
courageous and talented young
women who strived to be an
aspiring writer and actress in
addition to loving photography.
Rachel was a very spiritual
individual who often wrote
to God in her journals about her
wish to "Reach the Unreached."
Her talent is obvious in her
artwork of collages in which she
strives to spread the word of
God. Her journals inspire her
words and her goals for which
her legacy lives on. On
the morning of the shootings,
Rachel was eating lunch with one
of her friends on the grassy
lawn outside the school
building. Eric Harris and
Dylan Klebold began shooting at
Rachel and her friend near the
West Entrance. Rachel was hit
and and fell. Moments later,
one of the shooters came down
the hill and shot her
at close range. She died from multiple gunshot wounds to the
head, chest, arm and leg.

Shoels,
Isaiah: (August 4,
1980 - April 20, 1999) Isaiah
was an inspiring young man who
had overcome adversity being
born with a heart defect but
went on to play football and
wrestle. He was talented and
played the keyboards and aspired
to attend arts college in hopes
of becoming a record producer
like his father. On the morning
of the shootings, Isaiah was
sitting with his teammates
Matthew Kechter and Craig Scott,
Rachel Scott's brother. When
the shootings began, they all hid
under the table. Dylan Klebold
had approached their table and
attempted to pull Isaiah out
from underneath the table, but
was unsuccessful. He then called
to Harris, and joined him.
Klebold and Harris taunted
Shoels for a few seconds and
made racial slurs towards him.
Harris then knelt down and shot
him in the chest at close range,
killing him instantly.
