Early Life
Kimberly Porter was born on December 15, 1970, in Columbus, Georgia, a river city on the state’s western border where she would spend her formative years. Career
As a model, Kim Porter found steady work in an industry that prizes presence, and she had it in abundance. She appeared in magazines and campaigns and built a reputation as a consummate professional on every set. Her success in modeling opened doors into acting, where she took roles in film and television — most notably in the 2001 romantic comedy The Brothers, alongside Morris Chestnut, Shemar Moore, Bill Bellamy, and D.L. Porter’s personal life was inextricably tied to one of the most visible figures in entertainment: Sean “Diddy” Combs. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office conducted an autopsy, and after thorough examination and toxicology testing determined that Porter’s cause of death was lobar pneumonia, a serious lung infection. Authorities found no evidence of foul play, and the death was ruled the result of natural causes.
